We provided pre-contract bills of quantities for Balfour Beatty Construction to assist their bid to win the construction of a new civic centre for West Lothian Council, Lothian and Borders Police and the Scottish Courts Service, bringing previously dispersed services under one roof. The building provides office accommodation for around 800 staff together with a Council debating chamber, and six new courts. The new Livingston Police station is also part of the complex, which in itself incorporates office accommodation, a major incident facility, 25 custody cells, storage facilities, locker rooms and a series of associated facilities, including secure parking.
The internal civic space at the main entrance acts as an arrival, reception, orientation and event place from which all the main functions and services in the building can be accessed.
