We provided cost advice for a Feasibility Study to rationalise Aberdeen City Council’s facilities for their Waste Collection and Recycling service.
The Feasibility Study included the relocation, alteration to and new facilities and the disposal of sites, which would improve the services provided at an overall reduced cost.
Facilities included office, garage, maintenance and welfare buildings. Costs, which included site and drainage works were provided for relocating existing facilities, altering and extending existing facilities, new buildings, and demolition and site remediation for sale of the site.
During 2015 SITA UK, the company responsible for processing Aberdeen City Council’s waste announced that they planned to build a new recycling facility at Altens Industrial Estate in the south of the city, which is expected to open in 2016.
